Infants- 6 weeks - 12 months

Our infant room is stocked with an array of fun and stimulating toys to engage and entertain your infant. We have a teacher to infant ratio of 1:4.

Our infant teachers are great at nurturing the babies and preparing them at an individual pace to move up into the next room. While the teachers create daily activities for your child, your child’s personal schedule will be followed. The infants eat, sleep and play based on the schedule the parents provide to ensure consistency between home and school.

Waddlers - 12 months - 18 months

At Little Peas Academy we separate our infant rooms at 12 months to give the mobile children a room with more age appropriate toys, space and learning activities. Teachers begin using sign language, as well as reading books daily, talking about shapes, colors, numbers, creating art projects and much more. We have a teacher to infant ratio of 1:4.

Our older infants will transition to a more structured schedule that the entire class follows. They begin to complete the transition from bottles to sippy cups, baby food to table food, multiple naps to one long nap and sleeping in cribs to sleeping on cots.

Toddlers - 18 months - 2 years

Establishing a daily routine creates comfort and security for your toddler. At this active age, our environment supports what toddlers do best: explore and learn through play, trial and error, repetition  and imitation. As your child shows an interest in potty training, our teachers work with parents to create a plan that will be consistent both at home and at the center.

Throughout the daily schedule, the teachers plan activities that will develop fine and gross motor skills, incorporate language arts, math, science, art and music every day. As with each classroom, the lesson plans are developed to be specifically age appropriate, teaching them exciting new ideas while preparing them for the 2’s room. We have a teacher to toddler ratio of 1:6

2’s - 2 years - 3 years

Our 2’s room continues to focus on a structured schedule while still teaching your child the fundamentals. Our daily schedule is filled with lesson plans designed for their age group to help develop fine and gross motor skills, language arts, math, science, art and music daily. Our teachers will continue to work with parents for those that are potty training to keep a consistent routine both at home and at the center. Children in this classroom also enjoy singing songs, reading books and learning about the weather.
We have a teacher to 2’s ratio of 1:6.

3’s - 3 years - 4 years

Our 3’s program is an important and fun transitional time for your child. At this point, they have a great foundation for the basics, are potty trained and can follow instructions. We continue to use our daily schedule complete with songs, books, calendar, weather and  more. The children learn about these concepts in an exciting and repetitive way. We have a teacher to 3’s ratio of 1:10

Preschool - 4 years - 5 years

Becoming equipped for kindergarten is the focus of this class. Throughout the year your child will be introduced to phonics and simple sight words. The children continue to work on calendar, weather, songs, and more. Language, science, reading, art, music and gross and fine motor skills are taught by utilizing formal and informal methods. 

By the time your child is ready to start kindergarten they should have the confidence to begin reading, recognize all the letters and sounds, colors, shapes and numbers. All of these things will get them more comfortable with the kindergarten atmosphere. We have a teacher to preschool ratio of 1:12. We are not a licensed preschool.

School Ages 6+ years

Before and After school care

This program is designed to meet the needs of families who need care for their school-aged child. This fun, safe environment provides structure while allowing the children to play, socialize and relax before and after school. Transportation is available for families who need it. When school is closed due to weather or holidays, the center provides  full day care. We have a teacher to school age of 1:15.

Summer

Little Peas Academy provides a program that balances fun, interactive activities with strong relationships that build individual character and great memories. The children go on various field trips throughout the summer that give them fun, unique experiences. The children also engage on onsite activities that engage, encourage and inspire them.
